As long as we start with high quality meat that meets human standards, as is the case with Jolipet, there is no extra chance.
It is also good, apart from food, to observe the following things about worms. Dogs are often infected with worms. A distinction should be made between roundworms (roundworms) and tapeworms (flatworms).
Taenia is less common and also gives far fewer symptoms of disease. Taenia infection sometimes manifests itself by emaciation, a duller coat and the typical rice grains hanging near the ass or in the nest. Very rarely, this leads to a clear clinical picture.
Roundworm, on the other hand, is more common and is a real danger, especially for puppies, which must be treated. During gestation, the worms can move to the uterus of the pregnant bitch, so her litter is born with round worms. Since an adult worm (up to 18 cm long and the thickness of a pile of spaghetti) lays up to 200,000 eggs a day, it can move very quickly afterwards. These worms live in the small intestine but can be so numerous that they vomit and also come out of the dog's ass or sit in the stool. Infected puppies have anaemia, flat stools, weight loss and dull fur. Untreated puppies often die directly from the worm infection - sometimes the worms cause an intestinal fracture - but the weakening opens the door to other diseases (dog disease, parvovirosis, etc.) which in turn lead to death.
Conclusion: Puppies must be wormed very regularly if they want to grow up healthy and beautiful.
